Exploring AI in Visual Storytelling
A sea turtle's journey through polluted waters.
I wanted to see if I could use AI to tell a story that would be impossible to film traditionally.
I generated all the footage using Google's Veo 3 by writing detailed text prompts for each shot, then edited everything together in Final Cut Pro - trimming clips, adding sound design, syncing to music, and creating the final message.
8 million tons of plastic enter our oceans every year. This is what that looks like through one turtle's eyes.
As a journalism graduate, I'm interested in how these AI tools might change visual storytelling - especially for stories we can't physically capture.
