Disruption continues in Great Yarmouth as unexploded WW2 bomb discovered

Residents in Great Yarmouth are facing a third day of disruption after the discovery of an unexploded WW2 bomb on Tuesday (7th February).

The bomb found by workers constructing a new river crossing was meant to be defused today, however, the proximity of gas pipelines meant it had to be delayed further.

A 400m cordon has been set up around the device, with residents being encouraged to evacuate if they are within the area. For residents living within 200 metres of the bomb authorities have ordered them to leave their homes immediately.
